Did you know, here at Village Jewelers we offer jewelry repair services? We do routine repairs like ring sizing, rebuilding tips and prongs, chain repairs, replacing stones and much more. We also do more complex repairs and even custom jewelry. See our list of services below. 

 

Our work is done in house in our shop on King St. We have two jewelers who have 90 years of combined experience in jewelry repair. Repairs usually take 10 business days or less to be completed however next day express service is available for an extra fee.

 

Jewelry repair quotes can only be done in person with jewelry in hand. Many factors can affect the repair cost. Evaluation of your jewelry is the only way to give an accurate price quote.

How We Size Most Rings

The price of sizing a ring varies depending on the metal, the width of the band and the number of stones the ring has.

 

When the circumference of a ring gets smaller or larger the stones move and loosen. When this occurs the jewelers must check and tighten each stone during the ring sizing process. The more stones you have the more work is needed to ensure your stones are secure after sizing.

Each repair is inspected before pickup.

14k Yellow Gold Ring

Less than or equal to 3.0mm width and 0-4 stones. 

One Size Smaller: $42

One Size Larger: $65

14K White Gold Ring 

Less than or equal to 3.0mm width and 0-4 stones.

*White gold is more expensive due to refinishing with rhodium plating,

In the process of repairing fine jewelry, structural issues other than the ones specified on the repair order may be discovered when examined under a microscope. If we find additional problems that need to be addressed we will call with an updated quote.
